Just a short stroll by the Great Ouse early this morning. Started at Willington near the Dovecote and crossed Elstow Brook and walked down to the river near Dovecote Lake. The Barnacle Geese were nowhere to be seen and there were very few birds on either of the Lakes either. Just a few Greylag, Canadas, Tufted, Mallards and Mute Swan. The only birds of any note being two pairs of Shelduck and a Pied Wagtail on the shore. I then took the Riverside path back towards The Danish Camp and after recrossing Elstow Brook where it flows into the Great Ouse, made my way back to The Dovecote via Cycle Route 51.
It was a misty start and a beautiful morning but with so few birds about I contented myself with some of the captures of the local scenery.
